We are currently seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Sales Representative our Cincinnati, OH shop.
 
The Service Sales Representative is responsible for business development of our preventive maintenance service contract product.  You will sell to new and existing clients and schedule sales appointments via self-generated leads.   In your role, you will work in a business-to-business setting in which you will cover an assigned territory and build a portfolio of accounts via prospecting and referrals. Due to the nature of the services we offer, you will very rarely make one-call closes. In most cases you will build client relationships over the course of a sales cycle that may last up to 18 months and require multiple sales calls. This position reports to the Sales Manager. 
 
Job Functions:
  • Prospect via cold calls, emails, door-to-door calls, networking and referrals
  • Follow up on direct mail campaigns
  • Set sales appointments with key decision makers at prospective client companies
  • Establish rapport and develop long-term business relationships with clients over the course of an extended sales cycle
  • Partner with clients to establish their needs
  • Present clients with the most appropriate solutions
  • Assemble proposals and reports for clients
  • Submit all contacts and documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintain all sales activity in the Tecta CRM program
  • Follow up with clients on a periodic basis to ensure that their expectations are being met and to get referrals
  • Work with Service Manager to understand where/how to generate additional leads and referrals
  • Coordinate with service manager to develop sales strategies and, when necessary, to close deals
  • Manage the service projects won through your efforts.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrated success in sales, a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve results. Commercial roofing experience a plus
  • 3 – 5 years sales experience in roofing, construction or a related field
  • Ability to apply negotiation skills to a variety of sales situations.
  • Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone.
  • Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust.
  • Proven track record of client retention.
  • Professional sales training methodology, such as Sandler.
  • Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including SharePoint and CRM.
  • Ability to climb ladders and walk/inspect roofs.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to travel locally out of the office 80% of the time.
