Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience and WA state licensure (CVT, RCIS, or ARRT) for a fast-paced acute/outpatient cardiovascular program.

Details
  • Acute, outpatient, and emergent cardiovascular setting including diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology
  • Handles coronary angio/PCI, vascular/AAA, peripheral, IR, neuro, structural heart, and EP/pacer-ICD cases
  • Performs approximately 20-25 scans/procedures per day
  • Uses Philips imaging equipment along with CSI, Rotablator, Shockwave, Inari, Impella, IABP, FFR, IVUS, JetStream, AngioJet, and TurboHawk devices
  • Charting completed in Xper and Epic (Care Connect/Cupid); Epic experience preferred but not required
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • On-call requirement of approximately 5-7 days per month
  • Does not float within scope or to sister facilities
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of cath lab experience required; EP experience preferred
  • WA state license required if applicable (CVT, RCIS, or ARRT)
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • RCIS or ARRT certification required (ARRT-R and CCI RCIS accepted)
  • Experience with venous access, central line care, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Skilled in EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and pacemaker insertion
  • Familiarity with interventional radiology procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, and vascular stent placement preferred
  • Prior travel experience preferred; first-time travelers with 3+ years' experience at large, Level I or II trauma facilities may be considered
  • Must not have more than one DUI on record
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate patient monitoring, prepping access sites, and serving as room circulator or scrubbing in for procedures
  • Works within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular and IR team supporting a high-volume case load
  • Scrubs are required and provided by the facility
  • On-site parking is available at no cost
  • Local candidates are not accepted; must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
  • Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a travel clinician
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
