Job Description SummaryStudent Managers play a vital role in the daily operations of Saint Leo University Athletics. The purpose of the Team Manager Program is to provide support to the Department of Athletics and its varsity programs in all areas of team operations. Team managers are assigned to work with a specific team and assist the coaching staff during practices and competitions. Responsibilities may also include support with equipment, recruiting logistics, and travel coordination.Job Description

Duties and Tasks:

  • Practice & game day setup and breakdown

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must follow all University, NCAA, and team rules
  • Knowledge of sport is preferred but not required
  • Must be able to work evening and weekends
  • Hours will vary during in season/out of season
  • Ability to work in various weather elements such as heat, cold, & rain
  • Required Skills: Reliability, Dependability, Punctuality, Self-Confidence

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Federal Work Study required
  • Must be a current or incoming full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours per semester)
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Previous team manager experience, sport knowledge, and/or training/playing is preferred but not required

Physical Demands:

  • Some lifting may be required
  • Working with an outdoor team may involve extended exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat or cold.
