Summary

Drive efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory operations that keep products moving safely and accurately throughout the supply chain. As a Shipping and Receiving Manifestor, you will coordinate shipping and receiving activities, prepare billing and shipping documentation, schedule deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory records to support operational excellence. You will partner closely with warehouse, transportation, and operations teams to ensure timely product movement, effective communication, and seamless execution of daily processes. In addition, you will play an active role in supporting the company's safety initiatives while contributing to both short-term objectives and long-term departmental goals. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering operational success.

This position has a target wage of $22.40 per hour, with negotiated increases. Overtime may be available. 

In addition to hourly wages, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k), pension plan contributions, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.  

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:30pm-12:00pm

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare billing paperwork.
  • Process customer orders and correspondence via email, fax, and telephone.
  • Work with other departments to communicate and resolve customer service issues.
  • Participate in company and department safety program.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
  • Understand, speak, and write fluent English.
  • Solve practical problems and work with a variety of variables.
  • Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, and verbal forms.
  • Maintain regular attendance as an essential function of the job.
  • Remain flexible with work schedule, including evening and night hours.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in a perishable food commodity environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access.
  • Ability to speak Spanish.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Perform active duties on the plant floor including troubleshooting and redesigning systems.
  • Move equipment occasionally.
  • Lift, push, or pull boxes and materials up to 10 lbs occasionally.
  • Regularly stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Maintain close and distance vision and distinguish colors.
  • Access files, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Move through the complex and all facilities.
  • Work on wet and moist floors including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • Be exposed to temperatures ranging from 28F to 100F with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • Handle products stored at 25F to 50F.
  • Work in noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB.
  • Be exposed to chemicals used in poultry and food processing facilities.
  • Wear and use protective and safety equipment as directed by the company.
