Responsibilities

  • Counts and verifies all VLT drop boxes, VLT Machine Bill Validator, and Food and Beverage drop.
  • Prepares appropriate paperwork and makes necessary computer entries.
  • Responsible for collecting VLT drop and bill validator drop.
  • Performs VLT weighing and coin wrapping process.
  • Transports wrapped and counted coin to vault.
  • Prepares booth and main bank buys.
  • Tests all scales at booth and in the hard count room daily.
  • Responsible for accurate accountability of the cashier department activity.
  • Performs in a pleasant, efficient, an honest manner at all times.
  • Responsible for accurately completing and updating electronic; Ensures accuracy and compliance with E-MTL/MIL paperwork and entry
  • Verification of front-line cashier transactions over $1,000.00; verification of hand-to-hand transactions between cashiers; conducts transactions with other departments as needed, in the absence of Supervisor or above.
  • Performs Cashier duties as needed.
  • Understands department objectives, standards, and guidelines.
  • Knowledgeable of department policies for all cashier areas.
  • Maintains security and accountability over all funds, to include coins, cash currency, foreign cash currency, and paperwork.
  • Observes and verifies funds received and disbursed to other departments, guests and transactions between cashiers.
  • Verifies all Cashier and Main Bank paperwork is accurately completed prior to sending to accounting/audit.
  • Must be willing to assist in any cashiering areas as needed and instructed to do so by the Supervisor on duty.
  • Accurately process Fast Cash Ticket Redemption and end of shift process.
  • Has thorough knowledge of the paid in/out guidelines.
  • Works with Vault to ensure timely process of buys.
  • Balances shift cage paperwork for VLT, Front Windows, and other miscellaneous departments.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience: Previous experience handling large amounts of money; Accounting background; High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
Physical Demands: Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces. Team Members must be drug free.
