Job Summary
All Fashion faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, and to provide effective service to the college. Fashion faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses, following the course descriptions and course outlines established by the department. Teaching schedules may include day and evening courses as well as online/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. Additional activities may include instructional development, support of college events, and student activities.
Qualifications - Education
Bachelor's or Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in appropriate discipline required. An MFA is preferred.
Qualifications - Experience
Candidate should have demonstrated capacity to teach a variety of Fashion Design topics in a design studio environment. Subjects include: Fashion Design and some Fashion Merchandising. In addition, candidate should have the capacity to teach foundation courses as requested.
Professional experience and demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability to teach lab courses. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications - Skills
Portfolio submission required. Format documentation of candidate's design work and/or student work in JPEG images organized in a PDF presentation.
