General DutiesThe position of Quality Assurance Tech requires absolute commitment to food safety, within and among departments, focus, coordination of efforts, and drive for quality excellence including and safety.The Quality Assurance Tech a critical member of the Quality Assurance team and will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance tech will report all Food Safety and Quality issues immediately and directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.Additional ResponsibilitiesWill perform daily Pre-operational assessments prior to start of production to insure plant and equipment is in compliance.Monitor and insure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SSOP, GMP and SQF programs throughout production.Perform checks as required for all SOP?s, SSOP?s and QAP?s.Monitor and insure compliance of SSOP?s, SOP?s, GMP?s and QAP?s as written.Conduct checks and testing for compliance of all Quality programs.Help with employee training to insure compliance with all programs.Monitor and insure compliance of all company and customer specifications.Part of Safety Team, including evaluation of any accidents and accident investigation.Evaluation of all SSOP?s for effectiveness.Work with, support and accompany the sales team as necessary to provide value and pursue customer needs and opportunities.Support the Quality department and cross train as necessary to manage during absences.Monitor that all rules and regulations are observed and in compliance by employeesPhysical Abilities RequiredConstant standing and walkingOccasional pushing and pullingWork Environment and Physical SurroundingsExposure to cool temperatures, approximately 40F degreesNoise Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds or a pitch of level sufficient to cause marked distractionEquipment UsedStandard office equipmentThermometerspH MetersO2 Gas Analyzer
