Job description

We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer to volunteer alongside our current developer to help build the CTC Market Mobile App. This app will allow community members to view products, pre-order items, and facilitate secure payments.

This is a hands-on role, perfect for developers who want to use their skills to support community food sustainability and local business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with another developer to build and refine the CTC Market App.
  • Develop core features such as product listings, pre-orders, and vendor dashboards.
  • Build and secure the payments and transactions module.
  • Integrate payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Square, PayPal, or mobile money systems).
  • Test, debug, and optimize user experience.
  • Contribute to decisions around app architecture and feature design

Skills & Experience

  • Full-stack development experience, ideally with React Native, FastAPI, Express, Node.js, Python, or Java Spring Boot.
  • Experience integrating secure payment systems.
  • Familiarity with mobile app architecture, authentication, and APIs.
  • Comfortable collaborating in a remote environment using GitHub or similar version control tools.
