Job Duties:
  • Display- Ensure products have proper signage and are well merchandised following company standards; showcase quality and freshness to drive sales in the department.
  • Replenish- Unload and break down deliveries. Refill products to meet customer needs and rotate for freshness.
  • Processing- Be responsible for cutting, trimming, and packing products into saleable sizes, weighing and labeling the produce products to reflect accurate pricing information.
  • Dumping- Handle expired and recalled products properly. Keep accurate logs in accordance with the policies of the company, state food safety, and health.
  • Stock- Be responsible for stocking, shipping and distributing product items to production teams. Follow the First-In First-Out (FIFO) method. Monitor the cooler/freezer temperature to ensure that company standards and required regulations are followed.
  • Cleaning- Follow the company policy to clean the walk-in cooler, clean and sanitize display cases, scales, and counters in a safe manner, and maintain work areas clean.
  • Quality Control- Complete production process, quality control, and other techniques maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance- Keep aisles and common walking areas clean/cleared of boxes and debris to prevent injury.
  • Customer Service - Answer customer questions regarding seasonal product lines. Help customers with the products they are looking for on the sales floor.
  • PI Count- Work with other team members to conduct monthly inventory count.
  • Perform other duties as for business needs.

Minimum Requirement:
  • Previous produce department work experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general farm produce or similar experience.
  • Available to work on weekends and holidays or rotating schedules.

Skills Requirement:
  • Ability to communicate effectively to customers and team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and other company policies.
  • Requires proper training and knowledge of equipment operation.

Physical Demands:
  • Stand and walk for an extended period of time.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
  • Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
  • Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders, and squat.
  • Lifting items weighing 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment.
  • Able to work occasionally with an environment temperature ranging from 32ºF to 50°F.

Salary:
