Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Operate heavy equipment (bulldozer pulling roller choppers & backhoe). Operate tractor pulling implements such as disc, mowers, seeder, etc.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • 70% of time will operate tractor and implements such as disc, mower, seeder, spreader.
  • 30% of time will operate bull dozer or backhoe.
  • Will transport equipment from one job to another using semi-trailer (CDL needed) approximately eight times per year.
  • Maintain and service equipment used on a daily basis.
  • Setting, checking hog traps / vermin traps
  • Moving traps as needed
  • Spot spraying
  • Repairing traps as needed for safe use
  • Help with task in land management area ex. Prescribed fires, preparing for and performing
  • Take care of planted fields and food plots, feeders, etc.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Must possess some mechanical skills / be mechanically inclined.
  • Must have experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Must be proficient in the operation of a tractor.
  • Must be safety-minded and be aware safety conditions around them and of others.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed outside exposed to different weather conditions; Hazards exposure to mowing parts, outside conditions, rough terrain.
