Job description

The Farmhand/Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the farm, managing various farming equipment and ensuring optimal soil and crop conditions through consistent maintenance and irrigation management. This role requires reliable operation of tractors, tillers, harvesters, sprayers, and irrigation systems as part of a small crew or independently, with a steady level of physical activity throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors, tillers, harvesters, sprayers, and irrigation equipment safely and efficiently
  • Manage irrigation systems to maintain healthy crops
  • Prepare soil through tilling, planting, and other necessary tasks
  • Perform routine maintenance on farming equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Support overall farm operations by collaborating with team members or working independently
  • Engage in moderate lifting and walking as part of daily activities

Preferred Qualifications
