General Helper
Dogwood Canyon is looking for a General Helper to support the day-to-day care of farm animals and assists with basic upkeep of a private property. This role is primarily focused on ensuring animals are well cared for, with additional responsibilities that may include light landscaping and general property maintenance as needed. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working outdoors and handling routine, practical tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with general outdoor tasks such as mowing, trimming, and weeding
• Help maintain a clean and orderly property
• Support seasonal outdoor work as needed
• Assist with light maintenance on buildings, fences, and equipment
• Keep tools and workspaces organized
• Report repair or maintenance needs
• Clean and maintain animal areas (pens, coops, stalls, etc.)
• Assist with basic handling of animals when needed
• Ensure animals are safe, secure, and well cared for
Working Conditions:
• Exposure to animals, noise, and dirt
• May require weekend or holiday availability for animal care
• Ability to perform physical work and work outdoors in varying conditions
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge and experience working with farm animals
• Interest in wildlife, conservation, or animal care
