Company Overview: 

We design, develop and manufacture case packers and tray packing solutions for flexible and other tough-to-handle packages such as stand up pouches, pillow bags, and four-sided sealed bags. Built for around-the-clock operation, these solutions have a worldwide reputation for their quick change-over, flexibility, speed, and comprehensive design. Our Integrated state-of-the-art technologies include gravity, pick and place, wrap-around, and vision-guided robotics.

Position:

We are currently seeking an Applications Engineer; this is a remote position located in the United States, with travel required. This position will have the responsibility to work exclusively with the Latin American and Mexico Sales Teams and/or local partners. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare proposals and technical documents for prospective clients regarding different technologies including design, pricing, and customer specifications.
  • Daily maintenance of CRM. 
  • Maintain standard pricing structure. 
  • Consult with the engineering department for non-standard applications. 
  • Communicate with customers both internally and externally.
  • Communicate with suppliers. 
  • Optimize product lines for specific technologies in regard to both cost and technical perspectives. This includes researching new technologies and advancements and implementing them as applicable. 
  • Review customer specifications.
  • Represent BPA at relevant industry trade shows.
  • Travel up to 15% may be required. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, mechanical design, or related discipline. A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.  
  • Spoken and written fluency in the Spanish and English languages is required.
  • Spoken and written fluency in Portuguese is preferred.
  • AutoCAD required. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with ABB and Fanuc robots preferred.
  • Experience with AB control platforms preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail. 
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Forward-thinking
  • Strong networking capabilities to foster the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships. 
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Applicants must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
