Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Production Engineering team, focused on ensuring the operational availability of manufacturing equipment and automation across our production lines.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, along with the drive to continue growing their technical skillset on the job. This role requires a fast-responding, safety-first mindset and direct ownership of equipment uptime in a high-paced production environment.
This is a floor-facing, high-impact role. You will work closely with Equipment Engineers, Process Engineers, and Operations teams as the first line of response to equipment failures, helping keep lines running and continuously improving equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day coverage of production line equipment and respond to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and clearly communicate findings and corrective actions to engineering and operations teams
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on schedule and proactively improve PM documents and schedules under the direction of the Maintenance Lead or Supervisor
  • Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds as required, including occasional weekend and holiday coverage
  • Use manufacturing systems effectively, including MES, spare parts inventory systems, and issue tracking platforms
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers, Equipment Engineers, and other cross-functional teams to resolve maintenance issues, review procedures, and improve equipment reliability
  • Follow all maintenance safety protocols at all times, including LOTO, 5S, and Arc Flash requirements, and lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring failures and eliminate unplanned downtime

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment and automation systems
  • Automotive technician background or relevant technical military experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Skilled at troubleshooting automation, conveyance, and electromechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience working within at least one of the following specializations: electrical/electronics, mechanical/machining, or automation/PLC/robotics
  • Willingness to support 24/7 operations and respond to escalations across shifts as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Qualifications
  • Allen-Bradley PLC experience strongly preferred
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Fanuc or equivalent 6-axis robots
  • Familiarity with safety control devices, LOTO procedures, and Arc Flash safety standards
  • Experience using MES or computerized maintenance management systems, CMMS, for work order and spare parts management
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic schematics for equipment diagnosis
  • Experience with power electronics or electromechanical assembly equipment in energy, automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics manufacturing
  • Creative problem-solving mindset with a focus on faster, better, and more cost-effective solutions
