Role Summary:
The Rockford IceHogs are looking for passionate individuals to join us for the 2026-27 hockey season. These are game day positions that help raise money for the IceHogs Community Fund, which supports numerous organizations in the region through grants and sponsorships. These are fan-facing, customer service-oriented positions operating our FanZone table, Spin-to-Win game, and Chuck-A-Puck sales table, as well as selling 50/50 raffle tickets. In this position you will likely rotate in each of those roles from game to game.
Primary Responsibilities:
Fan Zone
  • Promote a positive fan experience and work as part of a fast-paced, creative team
  • Greet all members and guests with pleasantries as they enter and exit the arena
  • Sell 50/50 raffle tickets at the table
  • Manage prize pick-up or other item pick-up needs
  • Assist fans with mobile purchases for Hamboni rides and Jersey Raffle
  • Coordinate requests for video board announcements (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
  • Take part in pre-game preparation, in-game implementation, and post-game duties to effectively complete assigned tasks
  • Answer all fan questions accurately and professionally to enhance their experience
  • Assist other departments with game-day initiatives as and any other duties as assigned

50/50 Seller
  • Sell 50/50 tickets on the move throughout the arena
  • Educate IceHogs fans on the impact of the 50/50 raffle and invite them to participate
  • Promote a positive fan experience and work as part of a fast-paced, creative team
  • Greet all members and guests with pleasantries as they enter and exit the arena
  • Assist in distribution of promotional items as requested
  • Take part in pre-game preparation, in-game implementation, and post-game duties to effectively complete assigned tasks
  • Answer all fan questions accurately and professionally to enhance their experience
  • Assist other departments with game-day initiatives as and any other duties as assigned

Spin-to-Win or Chuck-A-Puck
  • Educate IceHogs fans on the impact of the Spin-to-Win or Chuck-A-Puck games and invite them to participate
  • Help set up the event table prior to doors opening
  • Take ownership of the event table during assigned times and ensure efficient and accurate transactions
  • Promote a positive fan experience and work as part of a fast-paced, creative team
  • Greet all members and guests with pleasantries as they enter and exit the arena
  • Take part in pre-game preparation, in-game implementation, and post-game duties to effectively complete assigned tasks
  • Answer all fan questions accurately and professionally to enhance their experience
  • Assist other departments with game-day initiatives as and any other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Should be passionate about customer service, display an outgoing and positive attitude, and be comfortable interacting with fans in large, crowded, arena environments.
  • Should have excellent teamwork skills, effective communication skills and exhibit a willingness to help your co-workers succeed
  • Should exhibit a genuine enthusiasm for community involvement within the sports industry
  • Professionally represent the IceHogs brand while on duty

The Rockford IceHogs, founded in 1999 and members of the American Hockey League (AHL), is a premier organization and primary development affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. Located in Rockford, IL, the Team calls the newly renovated BMO Center its home and offices in downtown Rockford, 401 E State Street.
As the longest running professional sports team in Rockford, the organization has developed a passionate local fan base and has set multiple attendance records over the years, while establishing a strong community presence.
