Program Assistant, Space Special Programs

In the Space Special Programs team, we build spacecraft and space systems which serve a wide variety of functions in the space architecture. At a time when space superiority can no longer be taken for granted and with space systems proliferating at an incredible rate, the Space Special Programs team provides advanced, mission critical capabilities to our customer base to be able to more effectively operate and survive within this expanding environment with limited personnel. Working across product, engineering, sales, logistics, operations, and mission success, the Space Special Programs team develops, tests, deploys, and operates new, unique, space capabilities to drive mission success in challenging operational environments.

The Program Assistant is a core member of the Space Special Programs Business Line leadership team, with a primary mandate to actively enhance the GM's productivity by managing their time, assisting with tasking, and anticipating/solving needs and issues in order to free them to focus on developing and growing the organization's mission and product space to maintain and grow our advantage as a technology-led, outcome-oriented, space-system developer for the full spectrum of our mission areas.

As part of this you will also be responsible for assisting the Head of Operations in managing the office and helping to enable the engineering staff to focus on accomplishing their tasks as efficiently and quickly as possible. This role requires you to be a trusted partner to the leadership team, and to work with and support the General Manager to achieve our strategic objectives.

Productivity Enhancement. Partner with the General Manager and their leadership team to help facilitate and enhance the team's productivity.

  • Actively manage the GM's schedule, and ensure that the priorities of all activities are properly incorporated
  • Handle travel planning, arrangements, and expense reports
  • Organize and track long term goals
  • Help prepare documents, spreadsheets, etc including collecting information from resources within the company
  • Facilitate meetings with customers, mission partners, and other external entities and assure that all appropriate documentation, security requirements, etc are prepared in advance.

Office Support and Management. Assure that the engineering staff is able to focus on their technical objectives and able to perform them as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Assist with administrative functions preparing for design reviews, meetings, proposals, etc.
  • Partner with the Head of Operations to implement and maintain the office culture and environment
  • Assist the Head of Operations with data collection, document creation, etc in support of the preparation of data products for the GM and other corporate functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of working experience in an administrative role for a senior executive, with significant office management tasking.
  • Strong communication skills across a wide dynamic range, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all facets of communication, operation, and behavior.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to solve operational problems in a way that is both data-driven and people-centric.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to operate with and maintain the sanctity of sensitive information.
  • High ownership of tasks with the organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple taskings and priorities in parallel, at a rapid pace, and report out on progress regularly.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • Proven ability to understand the pace and lifecycle of spacecraft technical development, challenges and risks; ability to work closely and effectively with engineering teams to help them most effectively meet their goals.

  • Experience working at a technology and/or high growth company.
  • Experience working in defense or aerospace.
  • Experience working in a broadly-defined support role which requires independent thinking and operation

US Salary Range

$112,000 - $149,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
