Job description

SUGARSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION

4 Month Contract - 36 hours a week


Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Student Intern at 1Milk2Sugars agency to start in the Fall 2026. The Student Intern will be responsible for assisting with various day-to-day tasks, including drafting pitches, social media monitoring, and supporting the coordination of events and media outreach. They'll also help with administrative tasks and research projects to support the PR team. The role will be based in Toronto, ON. This role is funded by the Government of Canada.


Work term is: September 8 - December 24, 2026


Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:


Communications

  • Participating in various events and product launches.
  • Ongoing internal communications with various departments.
  • Coordinating fact checks and sample requests.
  • Assisting with mailers and media outreach.
  • Compile daily hits and press clippings.


Product Management (PR)

Assist with showroom:

  • Shipping and Receiving
  • Sample Inventory
  • Maintain overall organization of the PR showroom


Data entry, reporting & Research

  • Track, monitor, and organize 1Milk2Sugars' clients' press clippings.
  • Updating client reports and media lists research


Misc

  • Reception and general administrative tasks


Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Canadian-accredited post-secondary institution with a focus in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field during the internship.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) & Google Suite
  • Strong knowledge of Social Media (Tik Tok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest etc.)
  • Prior PR, social media and events experience is considered an asset
  • Must be available to support events or projects that may occur outside of regular business hours.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25 lbs. is an essential part of the role.

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
