Perricone Farms is seeking a Seasonal Forklift Operator to join our production and warehouse team. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on seasonal work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in material handling, staging, and the safe movement of products throughout the facility.

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Shift / Hours:
2nd Shift; Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with possible Saturdays if needed

Seasonal:
January through June, with a possibility to return in the fall/winter

Key Responsibilities:

As a Seasonal Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating forklifts and pallet jacks to move raw materials and finished goods
  • Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
  • Staging product for production and shipment
  • Wrapping and securing pallets for transport
  • Supplying production lines with necessary materials
  • Transporting 55-gallon drums and other materials as required
  • Performing routine forklift inspections and reporting maintenance needs
  • Maintaining accurate inventory movement records
  • Keeping warehouse and production areas clean and organized
  • Following all safety procedures and traffic patterns within the facility

Drug Free Workplace & Safety Expectations:

  • Adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Notify supervisors of any irregularities, safety concerns, or equipment issues
  • Comply with all OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF requirements
  • Support ongoing food safety, quality assurance, and non-GMO compliance efforts
  • Participate in audits and the annual review of the Food Safety Management System

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Shift Manager.

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred
  • Valid forklift certification or ability to become certified
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to safety and detail

Work Environment:

Exposure to moving machinery, wet/humid conditions, and variable temperatures; may be exposed to chemicals, airborne particles, and loud noise levels. Protective gear and adherence to safety protocols are required.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands; frequently required to bend, climb, or crouch; must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs frequently; visual requirements include close, peripheral, and color vision, with depth perception.
