Commercial Roofing Service Foreman
RMM / Service Division -McHenry, IL
Service Territory: Statewide - Chicago, IL
Preferred Home Base:
  • Northwest of Chicago: McHenry, IL, and surrounding areas

Schedule: Full-Time | On-Call Rotation Required
Travel: Daily local travel; occasional overnight in-state travel (approximately once per month)
Salary: From $28 to $40 - Based on verified service-level experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Foreman to support our Chicago RMM (Service) division. This role covers commercial roofing service work across the state of Chicago.
This is a hands-on service role, leading a small crew (1-2 people) while personally performing leak diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on active commercial roofs. This is not a production-only role and is not a training position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Independently diagnose and repair commercial roof leaks across Chicago.
  • Perform service work on EPDM, TPO, PVC, metal, and related systems
  • Execute repairs on low-slope, pitched, and shingled roof areas when required
  • Lead and train 1-2 service crew members while remaining hands-on
  • Conduct roof inspections, document conditions, and develop repair scopes
  • Perform take-offs and identify additional service or repair opportunities
  • Communicate professionally with building owners, facility managers, and internal teams
  • Accurately document inspections and repairs using mobile service applications
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response
  • Maintain strict OSHA and fall-protection compliance

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of commercial roofing service foreman experience (repairs & diagnostics)
  • Prior Service Foreman or Lead Service Technician experience preferred
  • Proven ability to locate and repair leaks without supervision
  • Experience working on multiple roofing systems, including metal
  • Comfortable working on low-slope and pitched roofs
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Strong safety awareness (OSHA knowledge)
  • Comfortable using mobile devices for inspections, photos, and reporting
