Job description

Installer Key Responsibilities
1. Installation Work
  • Remove existing siding, trim, gutters, or related exterior materials as needed.
  • Install siding systems (vinyl, composite, fiber cement, board & batten, etc.) according to manufacturer specs and project plans.
  • Install trim, flashing, soffit, fascia, and related exterior finishes.
  • Assist with window, door, and shutter installation when required.
2. Tools & Materials
  • Properly use hand tools, power tools, and equipment for installation.
  • Measure, cut, and fit siding and trim with accuracy.
  • Load, unload, and stage materials safely at job sites.
  • Report material shortages or damages immediately to the Crew Lead or Project Manager.
3. Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete daily job logs (hours worked, progress, materials used).
  • Take photos of completed work stages as directed.
  • Report safety incidents, delays, or quality concerns promptly.
  • Record any changes from plans (field adjustments, missing materials, etc.) for project files.
4. Safety & Quality Control
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines (PPE, ladder use, fall protection, etc.).
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe for the crew and homeowner.
  • Inspect work for quality and correct installation before moving to the next task.
5. Teamwork & Communication
  • Work under the direction of the Crew Lead/Foreman.
  • Communicate clearly with team members about job progress, needs, or problems.
  • Represent the company professionally on job sites.
6. Other Duties
  • Assist with loading/unloading trailers or vehicles at the warehouse.
  • Perform basic site cleanup and disposal of old materials.
  • Support other crew members as needed to keep the project moving.
