Come join Findorff as a Safety Co-op this Spring/Summer (January 2027 - August 2027) or Summer/Fall (May/June 2027 - December 2027).

What You’ll Do

The Safety Co-op is located in Madison, WI and works with Findorff’s Safety Team to help promote a culture of safety across our jobsites and offices. As a Safety Co-op, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting safety initiatives on active construction projects while learning industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles. This role is designed for students interested in construction safety, occupational health and safety, or risk management.

  • Support Jobsite Safety Efforts: Assist with jobsite inspections, safety observations, audits, and documentation to help maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate in Safety Meetings: Attend toolbox talks, pre-task planning meetings, and safety committee discussions while learning how safety is integrated into daily operations.
  • Assist with Incident Management: Support the investigation, documentation, and tracking of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
  • Promote Safety Awareness: Help develop and distribute safety communications, training materials, and educational resources for project teams.
  • Monitor Compliance: Gain exposure to OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and industry best practices while assisting with compliance activities.
  • Build Professional Skills: Develop communication, problem-solving, leadership, and observation skills while collaborating with project teams, trade partners, and safety professionals.
