Position Title: Modified Cheerleading Coach (Fall 2026)
Salary/Pay Scale: $1,997
Requirements:
• New York State coaching certification https://www.highered.nysed.gov/tcert/certificate/coaching.html
• Completion of CDC or NFHS concussion management course.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills with an emphasis on academics, sportsmanship, and character development.
• Possess the ability to provide a challenging, first class, positive experience for our students, while striving for excellence and teaching lifelong lessons.
• Prior sport specific coaching and cheerleading participation experience preferred.
Description:
The modified coach works to provide basic skill development that is in line with the expectations of the varsity coach to ensure that there is continuity throughout the program while ensuring that the program is conducted within the philosophy and policies for interscholastic athletics as developed by the administration. The modified coach works very closely with the varsity coach to instruct the modified team, develop the goals of the program, and prepare students for higher levels of competition. This may include various tasks as assigned by the varsity coach or athletic director.
