Audience Development Fall Intern

FloSports is the leading digital platform for underserved sports, combining live and on-demand streaming, original programming, data, and technology to help sports grow their audiences and build sustainable businesses, from youth to professional levels. By bringing thousands of events and communities onto one platform, Flo creates scale where none previously existed, connecting passionate fans with the sports they love while giving athletes, organizers, and rights holders the tools to reach and engage a global audience.

Flo streams more than 50,000 live events annually across sports, including motorsports, wrestling, hockey, track & field, cheer, jiu-jitsu, NCAA Division II and III athletics, and more. We're looking for people who are passionate about sports, embody accountability, collaboration, curiosity, positivity, grit, and excellence, and are motivated to help grow and elevate the communities we serve.

The Audience Development Fall Interns will play an important part in covering college football, volleyball, grappling and wrestling among other sports! FloSports is creating the home for sports like hockey, track & field, racing, grappling, wrestling, cheer and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us!

The Role
  • Project based work with specific goals that can be added to your portfolio
  • Advanced training on how to implement and execute a successful SEO-centric content strategy
  • Crafting and creating a coverage strategy for college football, college basketball and more.
  • Have a dedicated supervisor/mentor to guide and challenge you throughout the duration of the program
  • Learn the ins and outs of an OTT sports media company

Responsibilities
  • Create content that engages fans, markets live events, tells compelling stories, and enhances the brand.
  • Do a bit of everything in digital media – writing, editing, SEO research, social media with on-camera opportunities.
  • Building content based on current and historical trends around our events, breaking news or using trends data to create evergreen content
  • Role will allow Intern to learn basic, intermediate and advanced SEO search strategy, techniques and how to implement them in content
  • Working collaboratively to support goals of the FloSports Content team
  • Must be available from August - May
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Google Trends and how to navigate Google Trends a plus
  • Must have experience in writing content with basic editing skills
  • Familiarity in AP Style, Chicago Style required
  • Experience in Google Docs, PowerPoint and Excel or Google Sheets
  • Must be able to take direction and open to creating content across multiple sports
  • Interns may be required to keep flexible schedules to work weekend events
  • Must be able to hit deadlines and anticipate when a deadline won't be met
  • Highly motivated to learn more about the world of digital sports content production
