2027 EHS Safety Intern

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Complete risk assessments to develop controls to reduce exposure to different elements.
  • Evaluate Forklift and ergonomic activities to reduce risks and implement safeguards against common incidents.
  • Perform noise monitoring activities and determine necessary PPE, barriers, and additional risks imposed on the shop floor.
  • Review waste program and audit to meet and comply with RCRA regulations and review permits for plant locations to determine non- conformities.
  • Understand how to classify waste via RCRA determinations and evaluate non-conformities to produce corrective actions.
  • Present in safety committee meetings.
  • Further develop existing safety programs such as Confined Space, Hazardous Material, Fall Protection, and Lock out/Tag out.
