Job description

  • Install, repair, and perform routine maintenance on industrial and electronic equipment in a hard alloy aluminum extrusion manufacturing facility (including extrusion presses, billet furnaces, die/tooling furnaces, heat treat furnaces, stretchers, saws, roll machines, age/anneal furnaces, lab & etch equipment, and pack-related equipment).
  • Develop and maintain PLC programs for our automated control systems.
  • Work with applicable personnel and teams to improve processes.
  • Determine & mitigate risk where appropriate.
  • A safety mindset is critical- all work must be performed in a safe manner following established safety policies and procedures. Must be familiar with lock out / tag out / try out.
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics.
  • Must be strong in 480 vs 120 v and low voltage control systems.
  • Must be well suited to wiring of motors for all voltages/phases.
  • Must be able to go online with provided laptop and read & troubleshoot PLC ladder logic.
  • Programming is not necessary, but a plus.
  • Understand applicable safety, environmental, and quality requirements as they relate to this position.
  • This role is for day shift; however, some off-shift or on-call work may be necessary.
