Part-time (Tuesday 8:30-12:00 and/or Friday 8:30-12:00)

ABOUT US:

At Athletes in Action, we dream of a day when there are Christ-followers on every team, in every sport, in every nation.  Since 1966, we have been helping athletes experience the hope and purpose that comes from following Jesus, and equipping them to use their platform to be part of God's mission in the world to make disciples of all nations.

DETAILS ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Follow the direction and supervision of the Lead Teacher and/or Childcare Coordinator.

  • Greet children upon arrival and engage children in room activities while the Lead Teacher connects with parents.

  • Observe and monitor children's play activities.

  • Read to children, and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.

  • Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games.

  • Assist in preparing food for children, serve refreshments and/or meals to children and regulate rest periods.

  • Change diapers and dress children as needed.

  • Notify the Lead Teacher of potential health issues, disruptive behavior, any injuries or any signs of possible abuse of a child.

  • Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.

  • Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.

  • Maintain Cru Childcare policies including awareness of ratios and adult lead presence as required.

  • Sanitize toys and play equipment as needed and before repacking.


Preferred High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of relevant experience. Age 16 and older are considered but we do allow 14 & 15-year-olds; they can be hired as childcare workers if they are qualified (according to state guidelines).
