JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Factory Support Technician. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and after-sales support, with a focus on supporting daily service shop operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction.

  1. Shop Operations:
    1. Perform Factory Support operations with high efficiency, quality, and timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  2. Boat Show Setup & Support:
    1. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to set up & support boat shows and marketing events, ensuring boats are prepared to meet quality standards.
  3. Team Collaboration:
    1. Work collaboratively within the team, providing support and assistance to fellow technicians.
  4. Customer Service:
    1. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach.
  5. Technical Expertise:
    1. Utilize strong technical knowledge to diagnose and repair boats, offering guidance on complex issues and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  6. Safety and Compliance:
    1. Uphold safety protocols and industry regulations, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with standards.
  7. Training Support:
    1. Support training and development initiatives, staying informed about industry trends, technologies, and product developments.
  8. Assist with any other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  1. 3-5 years of experience in the marine industry.
  2. Open availability and willingness to travel.
  3. High school diploma or equivalent.
  4. Proven technical expertise in boat systems, engines, electrical systems, and plumbing.
  5. Proficient in all aspects of trailering a boat.
  6. Experience with fiberglass and resin.
  7. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  8. Customer-focused with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  10. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  11. Valid driver's license and availability for extensive travel.
  12. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
  13. Conversational English.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with gel coat repair
  2. Possess or be able to obtain a captain's license (reimbursed by the company).
  3. Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in close proximity to others.
  4. Understanding and ability to follow verbal and written directions.
  5. Experience with gel coat repair.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Good time management skills to schedule and complete work efficiently.
  8. Proficient with PC using Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs.

Work EnvironmentMust be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature, reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10-hour days with most of the time being on their feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
