Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Represents the company to its customers for the purpose of selling equipment and other company services. Maintains profit goals of the company while providing valuable customer service and satisfaction to all customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Contact customers and sell the company's products and service.
  2. Submit daily call reports, lost sales reports, etc. on a timely basis.
  3. Maintain sales department vehicles and office equipment.
  4. Assure all documents associated with sales of whole goods and attachments are properly and totally completed electronically.
  5. Update yourself daily on changes to manufacturers terms, discounts, and special programs, sales, deliveries, valuations, and new equipment arrival.
  6. Attend any company, store and community functions that will benefit the dealership; visit with the customers.
  7. Insure that new machines and machines going out on a demonstration are clean and in ready to go condition; that follow-up service is conducted as required and in line with factory benefits.
  8. Keep current on product knowledge and benefits of specific machines.
  9. Keep abreast of competitive activity and competitive products.
  10. Have a good knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate for trading purposes.
  11. Perform field demonstrations of equipment to prospective customers.
  12. Maintain all manuals, price lists, and other documents given by the dealership in a professional and current condition at all times.
  13. Have a working knowledge of all factory finance plans.
  14. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned; cooperate with other departments of the dealership.

The individual should have 2 4 years of related experience, steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.
