Position Summary:

Leads and motivates team quality performance, cost parameters, accuracy and speed within a manufacturing production line environment.Arranges daily team activities to ensure smooth workflow, quality production and timely delivery.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gives direction and improvement recommendations for manufacturing processes.
  • Ensures compliance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
  • Assists with inventory, packaging, shipping/receiving and general facility maintenance as needed.
  • Projects staffing for daily and future production needs.
  • Monitors machinery, processes and work layouts to recommend improvements.
  • May conduct safety and training programs for the production line.
  • Mentors line staff and facilitates problem solving.
  • Maintains and coaches standard work practices across all processes

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Strong leadership capability and experience
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge (5S, Lean Manufacturing, technical drawing understanding)
  • General computer skills (Email, Excel)

Position Qualifications:

Education:

HS Graduate or Equivalent

Experience:

2+ years of manufacturing experience and people leadership required

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Production/Manufacturing environment

Lifts up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
