Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is looking to hire a Sr. Factory Automation Technician to sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and system issues specific to the factory automation systems and robotics. This technician position is for either Day shift (D1/D2) working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. The Day shift schedule is 7AM - 7PM. GlobalFoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, control, and repair factory automation and mobile robotics equipment

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance activities

  • React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment

  • Process wafers using defined procedures.

  • Perform visual inspections (quality checks)

  • Recover from equipment and system interruptions.

  • Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost

  • Complete all required reporting and documentation

  • Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development

  • Collaborate well within a global team and with other internal / external stakeholders

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

  • Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - 2 Year Associates Degree in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical/Electrical)and/or equivalent military experience

  • Experience - 18+ months of relevant experience and/or equivalent military experience.

  • Fluency in English Language - both Written & Verbal

  • Physical Capacity Demands - 12-hour Alternate Work Schedule (Nights or Days), ability to be on your feet for up to 10 hours during a shift, and lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Work in a clean room environment wearing gloves and a clean room suit, as well as all required PPE

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipling (Mechanical / Electrical)

  • Experience in Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance or other experience in robotics

  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing / robotics or related technical experience

  • Strong and effective communication skills

Expected Salary Range

$48,200.00 - $83,200.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
