Job description

Position SummaryWhile working as a Fabricator you will be tasked with fulfilling duties and performing tasks related to the manufacturing of custom signage orders for our clients. The functions include machining, welding, fabricating by performing duties such as using basic hand and power tools, interpreting shop drawings and prepping/cutting/assembling materials as well as cleaning work areas and equipment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reading and interpreting shop drawings provided by Project Management and Engineering team members in order to fabricate project componentsUsing hand tools, power tools, brakes and welding equipment to produce custom signage projectsPerforming basic maintenance on tools and equipmentMaintaining a safe, hazard-free working environmentMarking and prepping project components for painting and finishing technicians as neededLift, move and assist in the loading of projects as neededNonessential Duties and Responsibilities Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed.QualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years experience in MIG aluminum welding, preferably in the Signage field.Welding certification in MIG welding preferred.Ability to pass a background checkVision abilities required by this job include being able to see clearly at 20 inches or less, distinguish colors, and adjust focusMathematical abilities required by this job include reading a ruler, calculating simple figures, and other basic mathematical skillsCan read and interpret blueprintsHas experience using power tools, brakes, shears, and hand toolsJob Competencies Strong attention to detail Positive attitude Excellent communication skillsCommitted to company mission and values Flexible and willing to adapt to change Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentPhysical demandsWhile performing the duties of this job, one is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time.
