Job description


Purpose of this position

The purpose of this position is to implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Qualifications
  • Must have current license. (if applicable)
  • License must be free of any encumbrances. (if applicable)
  • Must not have any disqualifying findings barring employment as stated by State or Federal regulations.
Delegation of authority
  • Follow housekeeping procedures to meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements
  • Participate in the monitoring system for the housekeeping department
  • Notify supervisor when supplies are needed
  • Notify supervisor when equipment in need of repair
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
  1. Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
  2. Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS).
  3. Operate housekeeping equipment safely.
  4. Use housekeeping supplies efficiently.
  5. Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees.
  6. Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy; follow directions.
  7. Observe infection control procedures related to Housekeeping Department.
