Job description

Description

Heeter Printing is seeking an individual interested in learning the technical and mechanical skills needed to support machinery and facilities within our busy operation. Position is considered a junior level need, or could be considered an apprentice role.  


Position will play a key role in keeping the plant and facility systems operating efficiently. Ideal candidate will have abilities to be hands on with electrical, mechanical, and maintenance needs within a custom manufacturing environment and the ability to learn and grow into more complicated tasks through on the job training.


POSITION:

  • Support overall clean up of facilities by running floor sweeper, supporting garbage and recycling efforts, general facility up-keep.
  • Work with Mechanical Lead and Safety Consultant to support floor needs around equiptment movement, racking / skid movement or other safety initatives.
  • Support the inventory management of parts for equiptment, organization skills needed.
  • Learn basics of supporting machinery maintenance and grow skill set into machinery repair.
  • Able to assist with facilities needs related to electrical and plumbing issues.


Must be available to travel between our facilities located in Canonsburg and Duquense, PA.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Mechanically inclined with education or experience in similar role.
  • Demonstrated work ethic with the ability to take direction and apply learning independently.
  • Ability to work well in a group and individually to meet internal customers needs while communicating professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively with a plan but able to be flexible and responsive in an emergency.
  • Working knowledge of Safe Work Practices and ability to work safely withint a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic proficiency using software and computer systems: Internet, MS Office, Inventory Management and our internal MIS system (PACE).


MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma, general education (GED) or equivalent

  • Standing up to 8 hours per day
  • Lift/Pull up to 35 lbs often, 50 lbs occasionally
  • Manufacturing facility with constant noise
  • Ability to read and distinguish small print, depth perception, color perception
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug test, including have a clean driving record
