Job Description:
We are looking for an OpenBMC Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in OpenBMC/BMC firmware development to support platform bring-up, feature development, porting, debugging, and integration activities.
Key Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience in OpenBMC
  • Good understanding of BMC architecture and firmware
  • Good knowledge of hardware interfaces such as I2C, I3C, UART, GPIO, PSU, SPI, etc.
  • Expertise or working knowledge of protocols such as MCTP/PLDM/NCSI/ NVMe-MI, etc.
  • Familiarity with Yocto-based build environments
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++
  • Knowledge of Python is an added advantage

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain OpenBMC firmware features
  • Work on porting, migration, integration, and debugging of BMC software
  • Analyze the upstream changes and port the necessary changeset for the platform
  • Collaborate with other teams for platform enablement
  • Implement and validate support for management protocols and platform interfaces
  • Participate in troubleshooting, testing, and release activities

Preferred Profile
  • Experience in debugging firmware and hardware interaction issues
  • Ability to work closely with platform, hardware, and validation teams
  • Understanding of system bring-up, feature development, porting, and issue resolution in OpenBMC environments
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
