 ABOUT YOU

Our Senior Account Manager, Programmatic is responsible for overseeing the successful execution and optimization of programmatic campaigns with a high level of media-buying expertise and operational excellence within our retail vertical. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to clients, manage complex campaigns, and provide mentorship and day-to-day guidance to Account Managers and Coordinators to support their development and ensure strong team performance.

While DEPT is a remote-first company, this role requires candidates to be located in either the Mountain or Pacific time zones.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner closely with client services and programmatic teams to deliver client-first recommendations and provide day-to-day programmatic expertise.
  • Develop & execute cutting-edge digital campaigns from conception to launch across platforms like Amazon (bonus if you have experience on Walmart and Target).
  • Manage and oversee executions and optimizations of your sponsored campaigns.
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain effective client relationships by communicating performance insights and strategic opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and clear communication in all client and internal interactions.
  • Act as a proactive self-starter who can independently manage workflows while collaborating across teams.
  • Support the development and execution of programmatic strategy to drive performance and achieve client goals.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and light mentorship to Account Managers and Coordinators to support their growth.
  • Champion our core values and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Bring forward innovative ideas and challenge existing processes to help elevate team performance and campaign results.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of programmatic media experience, preferably across CTV, Display, and Video, with exposure to Native, Audio, or OOH.
  • Hands-on programmatic trading experience within retail marketplaces such as Walmart, Target, or Best Buy.
  • Proficiency in multiple DSPs (Amazon, TTD & DV360 preferred), as well as familiarity with Ad Servers.
  • A minimum of 3 years' paid marketing / ecommerce experience. 
  • Familiarity with Amazon Vendor/Seller Central is required.
  • Demonstrated experience guiding or mentoring junior team members and contributing to their development.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a strategic mindset.
