As a Sr. Fab Operations Manager located in our Morgan Hill, CA office, you will oversee day-to-day operations in a semiconductor fabrication facility (Fab). This role ensures production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards. You will drive new technologies and processes to support internal and external customer requirements and growth of the business. You will also coordinate across engineering, planning, and equipment support teams to optimize wafer movement, cycle time, and capacity utilization.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Production Management
  • Lead and manage wafer fabrication operations to meet output, cycle time, and delivery targets.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, throughput, and production utilization.
  • Supports development of new processes and technologies that are customer driven.

• Team Leadership
  • Oversee and develops process engineers, technicians and leads.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and workforce planning.

• Business Processes & Quality Control
  • Develop and support standard business operation processes that are scalable in a dynamic and growing business environment.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO & ITAR standards and internal quality systems.
  • Drive process improvements to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
  • Support automation and MRP/ERP system optimization.

• Business Operations Leadership
  • Prepare and monitor operating budgets and costs.
  • Align resources to meet strategic objectives.
  • Develop ROI models for justifying capital investment and projects.

• Customer Focused
  • Work directly with internal and external customers on their requirements
  • Work closely with the MTC Business Development Manager to quote and support external business processes.
  • Aligns customers' needs with internal execution capabilities in assessing business opportunities

• Facilities/Equipment Support
  • Work closely with the Equipment Engineering Manager and Facilities Manager to support the MTC fab production area to maximize uptime and limit disruption.

• This position will be reporting to the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Director based in Morgan Hill, CA
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in wafer fabrication, fab equipment, thin film substrate materials, and semi-conductor processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient with MRP/ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Hands on experience in advanced semiconductor technologies.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $195,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
