Your main responsibilities

The function of this role is to set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment press brakes & turret punch presses to produce a variety of non-repetitive assemblies and parts.

  • Interpret and work from manufacturing information, drawings, sketches, SAP, and both written and oral instructions.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain numerical controlled turret and press brake machines, including programming, tool changes, and adjustments to meet specifications for a variety of metallic parts.
  • Inspect manufactured parts against drawings, perform necessary mathematical calculations, and recognize and address machine malfunctions or tool wear.
  • Handle material movement, part sorting, and delivery; maintain a clean and orderly work area; and perform routine machine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Maintain required records, notify supervisors of equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing suggestions and editing programs as needed.
  • Punch, pierce, emboss, blank, notch, slot, and form a variety of metallic parts.
