Job description

Concept Solutions is seeking a PKI Administrator to support one of the nation's largest enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role is responsible for supporting enterprise certificate services, secure identity infrastructure, and Windows/Linux server environments that enable secure authentication across mission-critical systems.
As part of a collaborative infrastructure and cybersecurity team, you'll help maintain and enhance enterprise PKI services, support certificate lifecycle management, troubleshoot authentication issues, and ensure the availability and security of PKI platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PKI professional looking to expand their expertise within a complex federal enterprise environment.
Enterprise PKI Administration
  • Support enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services across Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Administer certificate lifecycle activities, including issuance, renewal, revocation, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Support EJBCA administration and enterprise certificate services utilizing ACME, SCEP, OCSP, and CRL technologies.
  • Assist with Hardware Security Module (HSM) administration, including Thales, Luna, or equivalent technologies.
  • Troubleshoot certificate authentication issues and partner with cybersecurity teams to resolve PKI-related incidents.
  • Support secure enterprise identity and authentication services across multiple business systems.

Systems Administration
  • Administer Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems supporting PKI and identity services.
  • Perform system patching, hardening, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Support IIS, Apache, and JBoss web and application services utilized by PKI platforms.
  • Assist with Docker-based deployments and containerized infrastructure supporting enterprise applications.
  • Support PostgreSQL and MariaDB databases used by PKI and identity services.

Operations & Collaboration
  • Participate in system maintenance, upgrades, testing, and operational support activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support documentation.
  • Work closely with senior engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and FAA stakeholders to support secure enterprise services.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT Management, Business Systems, MIS
  • 5+ years or an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of an BS degree
  • Advanced experience supporting enterprise PKI services in large-scale environments
  • Strong expertise with Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and secure systems administration
  • Experience with EJBCA, certificate lifecycle management, ACME/SCEP, OCSP, and CRL
  • Hands-on experience with HSM technologies (Thales, Luna, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Docker/containerized infrastructure
  • Experience with IIS, Apache, JBoss, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity, compliance, or FAA enterprise environments highly preferred

Compensation: $80K to $102K
Location and Schedule
  • Location: Washington, DC
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (local time)
  • Security Requirement: FAA Personnel Suitability Clearance required.
