Job description

West Metro Aviation is seeking a skilled and motivated Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic with at least 2 years of experience to join our growing team in Buffalo, Minnesota. We specialize in delivering “air show-level” quality, precision, and service, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of general aviation aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards
  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including annuals, 100-hour inspections, and system diagnostics
  • Ensure all work meets West Metro Aviation’s “air show-level” quality standards, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Accurately document maintenance activities in compliance with FAA requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete projects while maintaining high workmanship standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
  • Continuously develop technical skills and stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
