THE ROLE
Insomniac is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support various key operations for F1 apparel including month-end close, budgeting and forecast, reporting and analysis, and strategy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have knowledge of GAAP, have strong communication skills and be highly organized. This position reports to the Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform month-end close tasks (journal entries, inventory analysis, event flash, etc.) in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Oversee financial statement management, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis for product licensing for all sales channels for F1 apparel
  • Drive results to improve profitability through variance analysis, cost control, and strategic planning
  • Key strategic business partner to leadership team by advising on growth initiatives, margin pricing strategies, and ROI
  • Lead annual budget process and long-range planning forecast
  • Manage all aspects of the P&L by tracking revenue and costs
  • Analyze key operational metrics
  • Develop process improvements to streamline reporting, forecast, and licensing royalty reporting
  • Supervisor of accounting coordinator
  • Assist with ad hoc projects

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA a plus
  • 8-10+ years of experience in accounting or/and finance in CPG and retail required
  • Experience mentoring staff and leading cross-functional teams
  • Advanced technical skills, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data visualization tools
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
  • Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
