Asheville Eye Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our exceptional surgical team.

You Are:

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Preparing and maintaining the sterile field for surgical procedures
  • Ensuring all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are available, functioning properly, and maintained in a sterile manner
  • Anticipating the surgeon's needs during procedures and providing the appropriate instruments and supplies efficiently
  • Assisting with room turnover and preparation to promote efficient patient flow and operating room readiness
  • Adhering to established infection prevention and sterilization standards
  • Participating in surgical counts and maintaining accountability of instruments, supplies, and medications on the sterile field
  • Collaborating with surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure safe and successful surgical outcomes
  • Supporting quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Promoting a positive patient experience through professionalism and attention to detail

You Have:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or eligibility for certification
  • Previous operating room experience, preferably in ophthalmology or an ambulatory surgery setting
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and sterile processing practices
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
