POSITION OVERVIEW:

An Operating Room RN is responsible for providing safe, efficient and cost-effective nursing care to the patient during the intraoperative phase of care. This may include, but not be limited to, performing as a scrub nurse, circulating nurse or free (bounce) nurse. The Operating Room Nurse may also be responsible for entering data into the software system, inventory and purchasing of supplies, as well as equipment maintenance.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse license
  • Record of prior stable employment and/or favorable references
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support
  • Current certification in Mandatory NYS Infection Control
