What is an Eye Model job?

An Eye Model is a professional who is hired specifically for close-up photography or videography of their eyes. They are often used in advertisements for beauty products, eyewear, contact lenses, or medical campaigns. Eye Models must have well-groomed, expressive eyes and may work with photographers, makeup artists, and brands to capture high-quality images. The role requires patience, the ability to remain still for long periods, and comfort with bright lighting and close-up shots.

To thrive as an Eye Model, you need naturally striking, healthy-looking eyes, well-groomed eyebrows, and symmetrical facial features, often supported by a modeling portfolio. Strong interpersonal skills, patience during long photoshoots, and the ability to follow direction precisely help models stand out. These attributes are critical for ensuring that the model consistently delivers high-quality, marketable images for advertising, cosmetic campaigns, and artistic projects.

Job description

Eye Center, Inc. | Bradenton & Parrish, Florida

Join a respected, locally owned private practice that has served Manatee County for 60 years.

Eye Center, Inc. continues to grow, and we’re excited to welcome a motivated optometrist who wants to build a long-term career in a thriving, independent practice. With eight doctors across our locations, we offer mentorship, collaboration, and the autonomy to practice optometry to the fullest extent of your availability.

We are hiring full-time and part-time ODs and welcome both experienced doctors and new graduates.

Why Eye Center, Inc.:

We believe in excellent patient care, clinical independence, and a supportive work environment. No corporate quotas. No rushed exams.

Our doctors enjoy:

  • Autonomy over clinical decisions
  • Comfortable pace: ~3 patients per hour (20‑minute slots)
  • Balanced schedule of comprehensive exams, office visits, and follow-ups
  • Collaboration with eight experienced optometrists
  • Regular provider meetings and strong team communication
  • Meaningful patient relationships built over time

About the Practice:

Eye Center, Inc. provides full-scope primary care optometry, including:

  • Comprehensive eye exams & refractions
  • Contact lens fittings
  • Diagnosis & management of ocular disease

Technology at all locations:

  • OCT
  • Visual fields
  • Optomap retinal imaging

Additional technology at Bradenton:

  • Corneal topography
  • Meibomian gland imaging
  • Full surfacing & finishing lab for in‑house lens fabrication

Full Time Position Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated OD who wants to build their own patient base within an established, independent practice.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice in Florida prior to starting.

Office Locations:

  • 2003 Cortez W, Bradenton FL, 34207
  • 8312 US HWY 301 N, STE #105, Parish FL, 34219

Schedule (Full-Time Role):

4 days per week:

  • Monday
  • Wednesday
  • Friday
  • Saturday (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

The schedule is split between Bradenton and Parrish.

    Compensation:

    • Guaranteed salary: $108,000 annually
    • Production model: 14% of net collections
      • Full-time ODs average $85,000–$120,000+ in monthly production
    • You receive whichever amount is higher each month

As your patient base grows, compensation naturally shifts toward the production model, allowing you to directly benefit from your clinical success.

    Full-Time Benefits:

    • Two weeks paid vacation
    • Health insurance after 90 days (Eye Center pays 50% of employee premium)
    • 401(k) with employer match after one year (up to 4% of compensation)
    • State license renewal reimbursement
    • Malpractice insurance
    • Registration fee for one CE conference per biennium

    Part Time Position Details:

    • Monday and Wednesday required
    • More days available if desired
    • Per-diem only, no benefits

    Why This Role Matters:

At Eye Center, Inc., you’ll practice the kind of optometry many doctors envisioned when they chose this profession — true private-practice, primary-care optometry focused on patients, not corporate metrics.

We are proud to remain independent and physician-led, giving our doctors the freedom to:

    • Build lasting patient relationships
    • Make thoughtful clinical decisions
    • Provide care with the time and attention patients deserve

You’ll join a supportive team, collaborate with experienced colleagues, and have the autonomy to grow your own patient base in a community that values long-term care.

If you’re looking for a practice where you can grow, feel supported, and practice optometry in a friendly environment, we’d love to meet you.
