Extrusion Technician

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Entry-Level Manufacturing Opportunity

Position Overview

Adecco is seeking a skilled and dependable Extrusion Technician I to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate blown film extrusion equipment, perform machine startups and shutdowns, monitor production processes, and ensure products meet quality standards. This position is ideal for candidates with manufacturing or machine operation experience who are looking to grow their technical skills and advance within a stable, team-oriented production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate blown film extrusion equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.

  • Perform machine startups, shutdowns, and routine product changeovers.

  • Monitor temperatures, pressures, gauges, and other process parameters to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

  • Load and verify raw materials required for production runs.

  • Inspect film products for defects and take corrective action when process deviations occur.

  • Accurately complete production reports, quality documentation, and downtime records.

  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance tasks.

  • Communicate equipment, quality, or production concerns to supervisors and technical support personnel.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace using 5S principles.

  • Assist with training and supporting Extrusion Assistants as needed.

  • Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to move materials and finished products.

Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or extrusion experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of blown film extrusion processes is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret production orders, specifications, and work instructions.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with packaging, palletizing, and material handling processes.

  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.

  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and related equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift.

  • Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to work overtime and rotating schedules as needed.
