Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team in Waukesha, WI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and distribution of extrusion industry parts and components, maintaining strong customer relationships, and managing accurate customer and sales data in our CRM system. This role requires a strong mix of technical aptitude, sales execution, customer service excellence, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Proactively respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and online channels.
    • Generate quotes and proposals for parts and components relevant to the extrusion industry and adjacent markets.
    • Support the sales cycle from initial contact through order placement and fulfillment.
    • Cross-sell and upsell products based on customer needs and industry knowledge.
    • Collaborate with outside sales, technical specialists, and operations to meet customer expectations.
  • Customer Account Management
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Resolve routine issues and escalate complex matters appropriately.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and service execution.
  • CRM & Data Management
    • Accurately enter and maintain customer, lead, opportunity, and order data in the CRM system.
    • Track sales activities, pipeline status, and forecast information.
    • Produce reports to support sales performance measurement and market insights.
  • Market Knowledge & Soft Skills
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of products, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
    • Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrate strong listening, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
    • Work collaboratively as part of a team while managing individual responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • 3–5 years of inside sales experience in an industrial distribution environment.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and providing excellent customer service.
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Preferred:
    • Technical degree (e.g., Engineering, Business, Technical Sales) or higher education.
    • Familiarity with extrusion industry products, components, and applications.
    • Experience using advanced quoting tools or ERP systems.
