Job description

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial AV.

(Specifically for physical and permanent installs, ex. for Conference Rooms, Meeting Rooms, Classrooms, Digital Signage, etc.)

PLEASE NOTE: No Live Events and Music/TV studio Technicians.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Cable installation (Cat5/6, audio, speaker, control, coax, etc.)
  • Cable termination (crimping, soldering, splicing)
  • Equipment installation (displays, projectors, video walls, cameras, microphones, speakers, etc.)
  • Hardware Infrastructure installation (junction boxes, conduits, kindorfs, etc.)
  • Equipment rack fabrication
  • Knowledge of manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Logitech, etc.
  • Proficiency in reading Construction, Architectural, and AV drawings/schematics.
  • Proficiency in AV quality control and AV system testing.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Organized, professional, and with good communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install Audio-Visual Systems (equipment, cabling, etc.).
  • Manage and organize job tasks, priorities, inventory, schedule, etc.
  • Communicate and write project reports.
  • AV system quality control and testing.
  • Find solutions to challenges and issues during a project installation.
  • Troubleshoot issues.
