Civil Site Manager - Energy Location: Texas | Onsite - Travel Required Reports To: Regional Civil Manager Salary: $92,250 to $144,000 Responsibilities Coordination with Project Management and Field Operations team to ensure contract and schedule compliance for civil subcontractors. Review P6 schedules with Field Operations team to ensure schedule optimization. Works with the energy group quality team and civil subcontractor to ensure compliance with all quality standards. Provide guidance and technical assistance to our Field Operations and quality control teams. Maintain detailed records of civil site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of any site changes. Report regularly to the project manager & site superintendent on work status, safety incidents, quality concerns, and schedule adherence. Document and manage any changes in scope, working with project management to address necessary adjustments. Review all geotechnical reports and topographical surveys and provide the project teams guidance on such reports. Collaborate with General Foremen, Site Superintendents, Area Superintendents, and Project Managers as Civil SME. Coordinates rolling schedules with civil contractor and Field Operations team to ensure proper staffing for daily civil construction activities necessary to meet the project schedule. Overseeing/monitoring the activities of our civil subcontractors and ensuring they are following plans, specifications, and safety requirements. Conduct daily safety briefings, risk assessments, and toolbox talks with subcontractors and site personnel. Act as the main point of contact between the civil subcontractor, engineering team, field operations, and project management. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all site personnel to streamline operations and resolve conflicts. Participate in project meetings, providing updates on civil works progress, potential risks, and site needs. Proactively identify potential risks in civil construction activities and develop mitigation plans to prevent delays or cost impacts. Ensure that any unforeseen challenges are escalated and addressed in a timely manner. Attend civil subcontractor meetings onsite or virtually, as needed. Promotes jobsite safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies jobsite hazards immediately with the Civil contractors. Implement and oversee quality control processes for all civil works, including grading, excavation, concrete, drainage, and roadworks. Qualifications We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong understanding of all civil activities involved in planning, scheduling, and constructing utility‐scale PV, BESS, and large‐scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be well‐versed in civil drawings, specifications, and code requirements across various jurisdictions. Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills are essential, along with the ability to solve problems effectively. Proficiency in computer software and strong interpersonal skills are a must. The candidate should also have experience working in extreme environments, such as high heat, cold, and inclement weather, and be willing to travel within the contiguous U.S. Prefer 5+ years of experience working in a Civil Construction environment. Prefer 5+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity. Strong understanding of all Civil activities required to plan, schedule, and construct all facets of Utility‐scale PV and BESS projects along with large‐scale infrastructure projects. Well versed in all aspects of civil drawings, specifications, and code requirements of associated jurisdictions. Strong understanding of Civil equipment operation. OSHA 30 Required – can be obtained up to 2 weeks after hire date. Strong organizational skills. Strong written/oral communication skills. Strong problem‐solving skills. Strong computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability and knowledge of working in extreme environments (e.g., high heat, extreme cold, heavy rain, and snow). Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. OSHA 30 required – can be obtained up to 2 weeks after hire date. Prefer 5+ years of experience working in a Civil Construction environment. Prefer 5+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
