THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a highly technical team member to join our team, able to articulate high-level business benefits to the various target audiences, who is creative, innovative and results-oriented, willing to go the extra mile in a fast-paced startup environment.
As a Solutions Architect focused on AI Security, you are an integral part of the organization and will own technical presales efforts for Cyera's AI Security offering. You will act as a technical expert who best understands and articulates the unique value proposition of Cyera's AI Security solution, along with how it works alongside Cyera's Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) products.
This would involve performing Cyera AI Security demos, driving Proof of Values end-to-end, and owning the technical sales success of the Cyera platform. In addition, you will work closely with product management, marketing, core field sales teams, and engineering to influence the product strategy and roadmap, develop collateral, solution guides and compelling demos. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, technology partners, and represent Cyera at industry events and conferences as needed. This is a highly visible and strategic position both within the company and across the industry and a great opportunity to advance your career and make an impactful contribution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Customer Proof of Value (POV) Engagements

• Plan success criteria, execute hands-on technical validation (deploy/configure, integrate, troubleshoot) of AI Security use cases such as discovering AI and ML data flows, securing LLM and copilot access, and identifying shadow AI, run stakeholder readouts, and drive the POV to a clear outcome and next steps.

Deliver Compelling Product Demonstrations

• Tailor demos to the customer's AI Security, data classification, and DLP use cases and personas, tell a clear value story, showcase core workflows and differentiators, handle technical Q&A live, and align next steps based on outcomes.

Technical Leadership and Expertise

• Act as the primary technical advisor and expert in Cyera AI Security for the sales team, customers, and prospects. Provide in-depth technical knowledge and insights about how Cyera secures the AI data lifecycle, including sensitive data discovery for training and inference and access governance for AI systems, and how it fits with Cyera's DSPM and DLP products. Understand and evolve usage of the Cyera platform to enable unprecedented success for customers seeking to secure their AI adoption. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies such as shadow AI and generative AI data leakage, and the competitive landscape.

Solution Architecture and Design

• Work closely with customers to understand their AI adoption plans and data security challenges and design customized solutions that align with their goals and drive value realization through platform adoption. Develop and present technical proposals, solution blueprints, and integration strategies. Ensure that proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with Cyera's best practices.

Customer Engagement and Relationship Building

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor. Gather feedback from customers to improve product offerings and identify new opportunities for innovation. Provide post-sales support to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Collaboration with Product and Engineering Teams

• Serve as a bridge between the sales team and product/engineering teams, communicating customer needs and market demands around AI security and data protection. Collaborate with product management to influence product roadmaps and prioritize features based on customer feedback. Participate in product development discussions to ensure alignment with market requirements.

Thought Leadership and Evangelism

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, webinars, and trade shows.

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a technical presales role within cybersecurity or data security.
• Strong understanding of AI and ML technologies including LLMs, copilots, RAG pipelines, and AI agents, and the emerging security and governance risks they introduce, such as shadow AI, data leakage, and model access control.
• Working knowledge of data security fundamentals including data classification, DSPM, DLP, data access governance, and cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Proven track record running technical POVs and demos that translate into technical wins.
• Excellent communication skills able to speak credibly to both engineers and executive stakeholders, including CISOs, CDOs, and Chief AI Officers.
• Self-starter comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements and industry events.
• Based in the US, open to candidates in the Pacific or Mountain timezone.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with DLP or DSPM tools such as Cyera, Microsoft Purview, Symantec, Forcepoint, or Varonis.
• Experience with AI governance frameworks or AI security posture management (AI-SPM) tooling.
• Certifications relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP) or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
Compensation Range: $275,000-$325,000.
The range represents total compensation, and may include incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
This compensation range represents Cyera's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Cyera may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The final salary for this position will be determined in Cyera's sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee's work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Cyera's business and other operational considerations.
Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.
This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors.
