Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary:
The Marketing & Business Law Department's External Relations & Operations Assistant will support the faculty and the Department Administrator in planning and executing events, external relations, and data management.
The position provides the opportunity to have a direct impact on the perception of the Marketing & Business Law department within the Villanova School of Business and among its alumni through the creation and execution of events, communication with alumni, friends, and donors, and additional support. The individual will interact with alumni, donors, faculty, and staff. Other tasks may include conducting research on VSB alumni, outreach, and assembling mailings.
Requirements:
Knowledge of the Marketing major and Business Law minor.
A demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Advanced organizational and time management skills.
Superior attention to deal.
Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and good judgment to compile research using common tools such as LinkedIn and Google.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a problem-solver, self-starter, and capable of finding solutions with minimal oversight.
An ability to work with and communicate appropriately with alumni, guests, and faculty/staff leadership.
Design skills (Canva, Photoshop, etc.) a plus.
