Overview

Theย Brandย & Community Relations Intern willย gain a working knowledge of branding and community relations at a top live entertainment arena. This role willย support the day-to-day efforts of theย Brandย and Community Relations team by contributing to event research, community outreach initiatives, and industry engagementย with a focus on ourย yearlyย community auction. Thisย role offers hands-on experience in live eventย brandingย andย community outreach, with opportunities toย learn andย assistย in both internal planning and external communications.ย 

Internshipย Details:ย ย 

  • Not to exceedย 20 hours per weekย 
  • Internship Dates:ย Fallย 2026ย (Aug - Dec)ย 
  • Location: This is anย on-site internship at Moody Center, Austin, Texas.ย 

This is a role that will start on August 24, 2026, and will end on December 18, 2026.ย 

This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00

This position will remain open until October 16th, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Support Good Moods Project Online Auction operations, including post-auction fulfillment, winner correspondence, item organization, shipping and pickupย logistics, inventory tracking, and reporting.ย 
  • Supportย Good Moods Projectย social mediaย and website efforts, including brainstorming of content, design, calendaring, and strategic planning.ย 
  • Supportย Brand andย Community Relations Coordinator withย ticket requestsย andย suite donationsย through correspondence with local nonprofits, community partners, etc.ย 
  • Creation of community relations 2026ย Impact Report to recap all programs, initiatives, etc. supporting the local communityย 
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities for employees, premium members, and partners.ย 
  • Help coordinate and overseeย logisticsย for community efforts, including canned food drive, gifting,ย etc.ย ย ย 
  • Assist with admin-related duties such as inventoryย trackers, donation trackers, fulfilling donation requests, etc.ย ย 
  • Frequent bending, lifting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking throughout the building, exposure to loud noises, exposure to heights, standing forย long periodsย of time, and working in and around crowds of peopleย 
  • Other duties as assigned.ย 

Learning Objectives: By the end of the internship, the Brand & Community Relations Intern will be able to:ย 

  • Demonstrate understanding of community relations strategies byย assistingย with planning and execution of outreach initiatives that support local nonprofits and partners.ย 
  • Apply event branding and marketing concepts to real-world promotions through supportingย Goodย Moodsย social mediaย content creation, website content, and community auction campaigns.ย 
  • Strengthen project management abilities by coordinatingย logisticsย for volunteer efforts, donation fulfillment, and community programs from planning through completion.ย 
  • Develop professional communication skills using clear,ย timelyย correspondence with nonprofit organizations, community partners, and internal stakeholders.ย 
  • Utilize design and content creation tools such as Canva, CapCut,ย and/orย Adobe Creative Suite toย support branding efforts withย aestheticย attention to detail and visual consistency.ย 
  • Grow confidence working in a live events environment that requires problem-solving, flexibility, and strong teamwork.ย 
Qualifications
  • Interns must be currently enrolled as students at an accredited institution, which may include trade schools, community/junior colleges, or undergraduate or graduate programsย ย 
  • Background inย live entertainment, non-profit work, or related fieldย preferredย 
  • Strong self-awareness, time management, and organizational skills with proven ability to multitask and manage projects on strict deadlinesย 
  • Positive attitude and passion forย live musicย and theย Austinย communityย 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentational communication with strong attention to detail and designย 
  • Strategic and critical thinker who is dynamic, forward-thinking, analytical, and extremely well organizedย

  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word,ย Outlook, PowerPoint)ย
